چکیده

One-step electrodeposition of crystalline zinc oxide thin films on Molybdenum/glass substrates in a low-cost ionic liquid, Reline composed of urea and choline chloride, is presented. X-ray diffraction spectroscopy shows the thin films have wurtzite structure. Raman microspectroscopy indicates a slight oxygen deficit in the film. Both X-ray energy dispersion and X-ray photonelectron spectroscopy reveal a 1:1 stoichiometric ratio of zinc to oxygen. UV–visible absorption spectra illustrate film transparency in the wavelength range of 190–900 nm. The optimized film fabrication is attractive for applications in solar cells. & 2012 Elsevier B.V. Preparation of Gd2O3 Ultrafine Nanoparticles by Pulse Electrodeposition Followed by Heat-treatment Method

Gd2O3 nanoparticles were prepared by a two–step process; cathodic electrodeposition followed by heat-treatment method. First, Gd(OH)3 nanoparticles was galvanostatically deposited from nitrate bath on the steel substrate by pulse current (PC) mode. The deposition experiments was conducted at a typical on-time and off-time (ton=1ms and toff=1ms) for 60 min. The electrodeposited precursor was the...

Simple Preparation and Characterization of Nano-Crystalline Zinc Oxide Thin Films by Sol-Gel Method on Glass Substrate

Nanocrystalline ZnO thin films have been fabricated by a multi-step sol-gel method using spin coating technique. Zinc acetate dihydrate, 2-methoxyethanol and monoethanolamine were used as a starting material, solvent and stabilizer, respectively. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) were employed to characterize structure and morphologies of the as-deposited samples. T...

Template-Free Electrochemical Growth of Single-Crystalline Zinc Nanowires at an Anomalously Low Temperature

Zinc nanowires of serpentine geometry have been grown on conducting plastic and glass substrates in an aqueous electrolyte at an anomalously low temperature of 0 °C by a one-step, template-free electrodeposition technique. These nanowires are of several micrometers long and with a diameter of 20-200 nm. These nanowires are also single-crystalline and found to be coated with a 5 nm thick ZnO she...
